STOP PRESS....Abbotswood Gorgie Boy is Reserve Coloured Champion at Herts County Show 2009

Indy pulled out all the stops in his first ever outing by winning a strong open youngstock class. He was the only coloured and the only traditional. His behaviour was exceptional - he took everything in his stride.
Finally, after many sleepless nights, Sky produced a bouncing extremely well marked coloured colt by Cookie at 4am this morning. Nearly 3 weeks overdue - he was well worth the wait. Blue has had a superb colt foal as well.

Sky's foal has been sold and will be campaigned for the show ring next year.

Indi (as we call him at home) is heading to Sussex for a 2009 show career. He has been carefully produced by us here at home and we are looking forward to him hitting the county circuit.

Friends of ours came down from Sussex and we took their girls for a drive on Isaac. Isaac is a fab traditional stallion who has pulled a bowtop to Appleby and Stow. He is totally bombproof in the heaviest of traffic and would lick you to death all day!

NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Abbotswood Gorgie Boy has just won the Supreme In Hand Pony Championship at the Coloured Horse and Pony Society National Championships in Lincolnshire. He won five out of his five classes entered, then went on to take the Supreme. An exceptional achievement against the best coloured horses in the UK.

Winning at the CHAPS National Championships, August 2008
We are very proud to annouce that McCartney's Highland Prince has sired many fantastic foals - one notably has been Abbotswood Gorgie Boy who has just gained a First Premium with the Coloured Horse and Pony Society. Diddy as he is known at home, is co-owned by us, was also Champion at the very prestigious Youngstock Evaluations. This outstanding young colt by 'Cookie' had a fantastic day winning the Open Class at Hickstead Derby Meeting on 29 June 2008, then went on to be Reserve Champion. At The Royal Windsor Horse Show in May 2008 he was 2nd in the Open Native, Cob and Traditional In-Hand Class.
